Stop legal looting – Abolish Theatres lease system
We [small budget film producers, directors,technicians,distributors] after years of suffering and exploitation, hv revolted against the
Big 4 monopolists:
1.Suresh Babu- Suresh Movies Film Distributors.

2.Sunil Narang- Asian film distributors & Asian Multidimension.
3.Allu Aravind. Geetha film distributors.
4.dil Raju – sri venkateswara film distributors. -18 theatres
In the past when some producers sat fr fast, the lesses/exhibitors aftr many discussions had agreed to exhibit small budget films on percentage system and issued an advt in ANDHRA JYOTHY dialy by their association as below:


but later they VIOLATED that and started squeezing rent,
after waiting fr a long time we decide to start this agitation
as they hv cheated, deceived and duped us.

wil giv u 2 examples how the producers/buyers benefit in the percentage system
and how they r looting the money which shd actually belong to the producer [ who puts his hard earned & borrowed money ]

CASE 1 :
‘Prasthanam’ movie collected rs 3,00,000/- net fr 1 week aftr deducting 7% e.tax the lessee took 2,75,000/- and the producer got 25,000/-
If it cud hv bn percentage system,
on 31% occupancy the producer cd hv got 45% share from 3 lakhs i.e 1,35,000/- and the lesse share shd actually b 55% i.e 1,65,000/- bt he took 275,000/-
CASE 2:
In Odeon theatre, the lesse Suresh productions collected rs 2,80,000/- for a film as weekly rent , later the producer c.c reddy came 2 know frm the theatre owner that the lesse was paying him just rs80,000/- … They were charging 2lakhs extra on the lease amount per week
So producer’s share of 1 lakh [As per the percentage which they agreed and issued an ad] had gone into the pocket of the lessee.
LIKE THIS PER THEATRE ON AN AVERGE ,1LAKH PER FILM…
HOW MUCH MONEY THEY ARE MAKING , JUST CALCULATE
and the abv mentioned producers cud hv covered their max investment if it had been on the percentage system with out big losses.
They made it in right budgets, y d u drag audiences int this rana? Don’t deviate the issue
There is no market fr small budget films in this rental system- thts very clear.
THE SMALL PRODUCERS ARE STRUGGLING 2 GET BACK THEIR INVESTEMENT WITH OUT PROFITS AFTER MANY MONTHS OF STRUGGLE TO COMPLETE THE FILM
[ EXCEPT VERY FEW PRODUCERS WITH BIG SUCCESS]
BUT THE LESSEE’S ARE MAKING HUGE MONEY .
SO SHARE, PART OF UR HUGE PROFITS TO THE PRODUCERS.
WE ARE DEMANDING FOR 24 WEEKS COMPULSARY SCREENING OF SMALL BUDGET FILMS ON PERCENTAGE SYSTEM,
REST OF 48 WEEKS U CAN RUN ON RENTAL SYSTEM.

Mr dil RAJU, is holding only 18 theatres, that too in the meeting he openly declared bfore all that he will leave the lease business once fr all as he is gtng bad image, so that he concentrate more on his production affairs
Sunil narang also expressesd to mr prasanna kumar producers council sec that he leave the theatres lease business and requested him not to darg his name into this
